How to use Slidebean AI to Create Presentation

The Slidebean AI editor makes educated choices for you when designing your slides, and all you have to do is provide the content.

There are two sides to the editor: Outline and Design.

Outline: Content-driven

Start by adding content to the Outline first. Do not worry about how the slide looks yet.

You can add content by selecting the Insert option from the upper settings menu.

Click the bin icon when hovering over an element to delete it.

On the left sidebar, click New Slide, and then click Insert from the menu bar to add slides.

Rearrange slides by dragging and dropping them from there.

The slide thumbnail can be removed by clicking the little arrow next to it in the sidebar.

Design: Arrange with AI

The slide will be automatically arranged when you switch to Design.

The “Arrange with AI” button below the slide will show you different options if you want something different from the given layout.

Using Ctrl+Z allows you to go back to previous options.

You can also manually adjust the elements by dragging and dropping them.

Theme: Style, Color, and Fonts

You can customize the style, colors, and fonts in Slidebean’s Themes.

Different themes can be chosen, and you can customize the design with just one click.

Besides changing the palette and fonts, you can also create your own custom theme.

Slide Settings Menu

Within the editor’s upper settings menu, you will find all the controls for your slides.

You’ll find the familiar settings:

• File (to manage your documents, share them, export them, and more)
• Edit (to undo and redo changes)
• Insert (to add new content elements)
• Layout (for using AI auto-arrangements)
• Background (to manage slide background settings)
• Animation (so set up transition animations).

Share and Present

By default, presentations are private, and you can share them using a link.

You can share a deck by going to Insert and clicking on the Share menu.

To make this deck shareable, click on “Only you and your collaborators can see this presentation.”

With this option, you can make the deck Public on the web, Unlisted so that it can be shared via its link, or make your Slidebean account team members able to view it as well.

You can present by clicking on the Preview button from the editor and then going full screen.

You can play the presentation by hovering over it in your Account Dashboard.

During your presentation, you can see your notes, preview the slides that will appear, and measure the time you spend presenting.

You can also choose from various fonts and colors to personalize your presentation.

You need to input your content, and it will take care of the rest.

They provide popular pitch decks like Airbnb, Tesla, Uber, and more.

Data Elements

In Slidebean, you have a lot of content blocks that you can insert and add data in a meaningful way while presenting.

You can include headings, text, quote, number, footer, code snippet, photo, animated gif, icon, video, and audio.

• Heading: These title style you can use.
• Text: You can write any text you want.
• Number: Same with the previous, but we use number instead of text here.
• Footer: Used for footnotes and other elements you want in the footer.
• Quote: You can cite a source website or document inside your pitch deck.
• Code Snippet: Option to add code snippet text box.
• Photo: Add a picture to represent your text or data.
• Animated Gif: Moving GIF to use inside the slides.
• Icon: Select and add an icon into this box.

• Bar chart: It is used to represent data of the same category.
• Line chart represents proportional quantitative information such as sales, income, and profit per period.
• Area chart: It compares different areas with each other using area percentage or ratio compared to others.
• Pie chart: This Shows a piece-wise representation of the whole set, unlike bar graph, which shows compaction levels in the bucket based on total items from 1 to N.
• Doughnut chart: You can represent grouped data as a pie chart, but it will look like a Doughnut.
• Funnel chart: It displays the funnel or sales process of a business like how many people sold, how much money they made and how long it took.
• Pyramid chart: Represents an overview of the data set relative sizes, such as low, medium, and high values and their percentage to the total value.
• Venn diagram/Scatter diagrams: They represent two categories with labels or items that don’t have labels themselves.
• Data table: A data table comprises columns to display data.

Auto Arrange AI

When you switch to Design mode in Slide, AI will automatically arrange the slide for you.

If you want something different from that first given layout, just hit the “Arrange” button, and you’ll have multiple layout styles to choose from.

And if you want to change it up again, just hit “Auto Arrange AI,” and you’ll get a new layout with just one click.

This makes it easy to keep your presentation looking fresh and new.

Animated Presentation

You can create an animated presentation to captivate and engage your audience by using the animation features in Slidebean.

These files can be used for printing and offline presenting or sharing.

To request an export from your dashboard home page, hover over the presentation, look for the Ellipsis button (three little dots), and select Export.

When it comes to your privacy settings, it’s essential to control who sees your presentations.

By default, all presentations are private, and sharing is available in Slidebean premium subscription plans.

This means that you’re able to invite collaborators to edit the slides with you.

You can also choose to share your amazing presentation with the public or with a specific group of people.

Expensive Pitch Deck Consulting

I don’t have personal experience with Pitch Deck Consulting (Pitch Deck Service), but it’s costly, and their prices start at $1,999 per project, which I don’t recommend for a startup.

You can search on the Internet to find other Slidebean reviews on their Pitch Deck Consulting.

For a startup, I don’t think their price is worth it.

You can get a professional to do the same job for a fraction of the cost.

Or use something like Fiverr, 99designs, or other freelance marketplace platforms.

Poor Advanced Design Controls

The layout is not that easy to use might take a lot of time to design the slides if you want advanced control over designs.

There is no possibility for the alignment of objects, and you can’t set values to object dimensions.

You have to do all these using a mouse, which is frustrating and always results in imperfection.

If you like to edit every part of your graphic elements, then SlideBean will not be for you.

I would only recommend it for simple to medium requirements presentations, not for complex design-oriented pitch decks.

Learning Curve

There are way too many options spread out throughout the app.

It can be confusing, and it takes a while to get used to where everything is.

Tweaking and editing take getting used to.

It would be great if everything were more streamlined and easier to find.

Need More Templates

They have good starter templates, but they need more design style options for users.

Once you have chosen a design template, there aren’t many design controls inside to easily customize the templates.

It will require a lot of manual adjustments to design update.
